March 24, 2025 - Wildfire season is here with dry, windy conditions. To reduce the risk of unintentional wildfires, spring burning restrictions began today in parts of central Minnesota.
Burning debris is the number one cause of wildfires in Minnesota. During spring burning restrictions, the state will not issue or activate burning permits for burning brush or yard waste. Spring burning restrictions have helped reduce wildfires by 30% over the last decade.
